Michael Jackson, King of Pop

My grandmother was born in 1905 and I don’t remember her having much interest in the popular culture of my childhood. I just don’t think she paid that much attention to a lot of what was on television and the radio in the 70s and 80s. But she always loved to watch Michael Jackson move.

Here he is in an endless moonwalk:

It certainly made him famous, and didn’t he just have it down pat.

I can remember in high school (wow that was a while ago) that people would moon walk and nobody even had to say his name but everyone knew that it came from Michael Jackson.

For all the media hype and the dramas and scandals he will still always be the man who gave us the Moonwalk. To me at least!

    RIP
